Nothing to report

Yesterday was a nice day, but no work.  Today was rainy.  Looks like they may have covered up some of the lumber, but that is it....  Tomorrow is suppose to be nice...

We have lumber!!

Looks like they delivered the first load of material.  Hopefully the weather holds out and we have a few good days to start building!!

Floor is poured!

As I was driving in, I was blinded by the reflection from the garage floor!  Still have not moved the garage access door to the back.

I think we need lumber now!!

Back filled the foundation

Received an email from Larry, along with a few pictures.  They finished the waterproofing.

They also back filled the foundation, no more piles of dirt out front!
They have a chalk line all around the basement foundation.  My guess basement floor is next.

Today's update

Today we had our meeting.  Larry, the production supervisor, said they would do final waterproofing late today.  Stopped by around 5, still only one coat!  Looks like they ran the water line from street to the house.  Problem is, they back filled that area.  Hard to waterproof the foundation when dirt is against it.

Initial catch up!

7/3/2013 Broke ground! Just moved topsoil and leveled

7/8/2013 Dug hole for foundation
7/9/2013 laid out footings and poured them

7/10/2013  poured walls--- Cherry valley concrete did the work

7/11/2013  removed forms from walls, installed egress windows.  Noticed they had left a spot for a side door, which was suppose to be out the back. Emailed tom about this.

7/12/2013 Did the basement plumbing in the floor, floor not poured yet.
7/15/2031 Put black tar on foundation.  Larry called to schedule meeting on 7-17 at 8am.  Discussed waterproofing, he has no paperwork showing we paid for basement waterproofing.  Found our papers were missing page 6, which included all the basement and big ticket items!!  Emailed everyone at AE about this asking for Tom to get corrected.  Met the neighbor to the south, Lee.  Nice retired guy.  Sounds like he is watching them build, says they are doing a good job.  He has been there since 12-16-09, and is very happy with it.  He did say to take a notebook everyday and write down items that are not right, after you take possession.  He said you have 365 days to get any issues to AE to get fixed, but only if they have them in writing.  Some of his things he complained about they fixed after 3 years.
