Today was another minimal work day. Not sure why, as it was BEAUTIFUL out. Not too hot, sunny all day.
The siding is slowly getting higher on the front. The section between the porch and the garage should be the shaker siding (like the double window on the left) from the top of that siding up. They need to wrap all the window frames as well.
So here is the "stock" photo of the house. Note the stonework that we went with (all across the front, at the lower level) verses the stone on the whole first floor of that center section. Also, we went with 9' main floor walls, and you can see the difference in the window height above the porch roof. I think we will do larger shrubs between the garage and the front door, as we have an exhaust fan and dryer vent coming out the front to hide.
All I could see different here was a little higher with the siding, and they put some boards on top of the seams from the sheets applied yesterday.
They are still doing some detail work with electric. All the wires going to this box were just dangling yesterday. I hope they have it marked well, as I thought they were in the box before, and maybe got pulled out for some reason. I also noticed the "radon mitigation pipe" is installed in the basement. This must be something fairly new they are required to install in new construction, just in case there is radon gas. I was told this makes it easy to install the "fan" to suck out the gas.
