Thursday's work, final mechanical done

I had to get Tom to let me in, things are locked down now.

So they did get the AC unit installed today

We have final mechanical signed off.  Hopefully they get the rest done soon.  Probably need to get the hole fixed above the box in the basement before the electrical and building can be signed off.

Although not thoroughly cleaned, here is a shot of the kitchen area.  There is still a lot of dust on the floor.  Hope they get the dust out of all the cracks and crevices.

Dining room

Humidifier was installed today.  Required with hardwood to maintain moisture.

What is left is finishing of the drywall joints and all the other areas they need to finish better.  The tile around the master bathtub needs finished and all tile needs grout.  We also need grass.  Too bad they did not get that in before all this rain!!

Wednesday a day late... CARPET!

Okay, here is what was done Wednesday....

Tuesday's work....We now have water!

We met a painter at the house after work to see about painting the girl rooms.  A few other things got done today.  They did finally hook up the water.  The issue with the fitting has been resolved.  All the toilets had water in them, so at least that works.

I did not expect the garage to get done today.  We just get fire code tape 'n seam.  We will have to finish the joints better and paint.

Carpet is in most rooms, just needs tacked, stretched and cut.  We are just not sure this is what we picked.

The tree was removed!!

The master tub got set in place.

I was amazed at all these touch ups.  I would have thought they would have done this before carpet.  This is in the downstairs bedroom.  I did not take a picture, but in a few areas that are by switches or outlets, they didn't even take the wall plates off.  Not sure that will be good.

This is under the egress window in the downstairs bedroom.

This is downstairs next to the bathroom.

This is in the rec room.

Minimal work today...

A lot of little touch-ups going on....

Several areas that they are "smoothing out" better.  I haven't looked close to notice if it was bad or not.  And some of the stuff I noticed, they did not touch...  This is above the powder room door.

Wall next to the powder room.

I think this is in Alyssa's room.

Look at all these spots!!

This is just bad.  To top it off, these are the wrong shelves.  I have a feeling this will all come out at some point and I will do something different.  This is our master closet.  Why they did not wrap all around at the same height is beyond me.  Now the painter has to work around this mess.

The glass surround was installed today in the master bath.  I'm looking into the possibility of attaching towel bars on the glass, as that is the only place in the bathroom big enough.

 This is the basement stairway.

We have a mailbox!  Barb said I can't change our address yet!!

Weekend updates 10-27-2013

So lots of little things....Including we are now locked out!!  Good thing they left some doors open and unlocked!

They have tiled the back splash around the kitchen counter.  It really looks good!  This is the range hood that was laying there.  It was Saturday when we stopped, and they were actively working.

Not sure when, but they now have the water heater in place

Sunday when we stopped, we noticed hey have the real doors in place.  Not sure we like the color on the front door, may paint it a red to go with the stone.  Now they have all the real locks in place, so out key no longer works.  We stopped at Allen Edwin and thought we could get a new key.  They did not want us to have a key, so looks like for the next few weeks, we either have to call them, or try to get there during working hours.  They also have the exterior lights up.

We had the blind guy come to measure blinds Saturday.  He noticed the basement windows were not trimmed out the same as all the rest.  They did not run the trim to the frame, it is about an inch short.  I hope they can do something, as that will be a dirt catcher.

All the lights are installed.  Everything appears to work (electric wise).  They still need to finish the furnace and get the water hooked up.  Stove needs hooked up and all the closet shelves are wrong (we paid for freeslide and that is not what is installed).  We emailed Larry several questions/issues to make him aware of.  We should have carpet by the end of the week.

I forgot Barb took some pics today too!

The front lights by the garage.

Outlet by front door.

Microwave and oven.

Stove area.  This is not in place yet,  I was able to just pick up the stove.  I think they have to fix the drawer so it is non-functional before they tie it all down.

I think we still have a hood to get installed here.

This is a good shot of the outer counter area.  We are not sure if the outer cabinets get doors or not.  That was one of the questions for Larry.

Here is the kitchen island area, with pendant lights!

Dining room light.

Furnace and hot water heater area.

We have electricity, in spots... lots of pictures

Here are the pics from today...

So these are the little stones that are in place under the ledge.  I hope they do something else.

We have a dishwasher and kitchen faucet.

They have installed the can lights and prepped for the pendant lights over the island.

They even have our mailbox in the garage!

Here is the prep for the air conditioner.  They also ran the sprinkler main line.

Air conditioner is in the garage.

Downstairs bathroom mirror is in.  This was the first area I noticed had electricity hooked up!  We have lights!

I think almost everything is in this bath, except toilet paper, LOL.

They installed the water meter.  If you look on the floor, you can see that it is leaking.  I have emailed Larry about this.  I may get a bucket for it.

Electric panel with breakers installed.

The girls bathroom looks complete

So they have this one piece installed.  But I noticed it is not free slide, which we paid for.  I have emailed Larry.

The nice elongated toilet for the "throne room".

Here is the 1/2 bath on the main floor.  This did not have power.

Tomorrow (10-26-13), we meet the blind guy to measure for blinds.  We have moved up the refrigerator, and our furniture is in.  Let's get this place finished already!
